The Grammys' ratings are bad
by Nathan'ette Burdine: January 29, 2018

Uhhh, the Grammy’s ratings aren’t so hot. At least, that’s what the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter say the Nielsen Ratings folks say.

The ratings, 12.7 among household, are at the lowest it’s been since the 2013 ratings.

The Grammys were on Sunday and lasted for over three hours. Sooo yeah, the day and time it was could be seen as a contributing factor to the poor ratings.

Also, not many folks like listening to all of that political talk during the awards show. When folks tune into the Grammys, all they want to hear is singing and see a lot of dancing.

They don’t want their ears and eyes to be subjected to talks about politics. Hillary Clinton reading Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House just didn’t sit right with folks.

And then this morning, I look on the Twitter and folks got trending about too many men folks winning awards during the Grammys.

I’ma be honest with y’all. I’ve heard many of these folks sing and I can tell you this, “There is no male singer with a voice like Luther Vandross and no woman with a voice like Whitney Houston.”

Luther and Whitney could sing in a porta potty, stinking it up, and folks would stop to listen to them sing.

These folks here nowadays, un-un. If they took away all of that sound engineering stuff they use to make these folks sound better than what they do, you’ll hit many of those singers with one of those apples CNN is always talking about. Mm-hmm.
